Job summary

Elementa is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in North Somerset. These opportunities can be flexible to suit your availability, including day-to-day, short-term and long-term assignments with potential for permanent opportunities.

Weekly pay via PAYE and DBS checks may be required. As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students stay engaged and on task.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
• Delivering pre-set lesson materials across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Encouraging positive engagement with learning
• Providing support to students where appropriate
• Maintaining a safe, structured and respectful classroom environment
• Promoting high expectations of behaviour and achievement
• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student progress
• Supporting the wider school community where required
