Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Carmarthenshire, with flexible and full-time opportunities in supportive environments. You will deliver pre-set work, maintain a positive classroom, and support pupil engagement across various subjects and year groups.

We value applicants with experience with children or young people, strong communication, and calm, professional attitudes, plus a willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people is desirable.
• Confident managing groups of pupils in a classroom setting.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Calm, professional, and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
• Support pupils to stay engaged with their learning
• Work across a variety of subjects and year groups
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
