Job summary

DHL is seeking an experienced First Line Manager to oversee operations in a temperature-controlled, three-chamber warehouse in Northampton. You will supervise 16 direct reports, monitor performance, and ensure orders are tracked accurately with our in-house software.

You’ll drive process improvements, uphold safety standards, and manage a 6-month temporary contract with a 4 on/4 off, 06:00-18:00 shift pattern. On-site parking and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain practices and warehouse procedures.
• Experience in preparing and distributing high-volume orders.
• Proficient in logistics software and computer systems, with the ability to analyze data and generate reports.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a track record of training and developing team members.
• Experience with investigation/disciplinary processes to manage a large team.
• Willing to work 4 on 4 off and 6:00-18:00 shifts.
• Will manage up to 20 warehouse operatives.
• Able to work in a 3 chamber environment.
• Willing to undertake a 6-month temporary contract.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve warehouse performance and productivity.
