Job summary

Capita Fire and Rescue is recruiting a Firefighter to support Defence capability across UK sites. You’ll train over 14 weeks at the Fire Service College, with accommodation and travel covered, and join a team focused on prevention, protection and emergency response.

The role welcomes diverse backgrounds and emphasizes resilience, teamwork and calm decision-making. Salary starts at £30,954 and rises to £34,823 on full competence, with 23 days holiday (27 after escalation) and a range of lifestyle

Qualifications

• Requires good level of physical fitness and the ability to pass fitness assessments.
• Strong teamwork and the ability to support others.
• Clear communication skills and good decision-making under pressure.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and help restore safety quickly and effectively.
• Collaborate with a professional emergency response team in a high-stakes environment.
• Carry out fire prevention and protection activities to reduce risk at Defence sites.
• Support safety campaigns to protect people, equipment and infrastructure.
