Job summary

Checkmate Fire Solutions is actively seeking a skilled Fire Stopper to join our team in the Watford area. You will perform passive fire protection tasks across a range of education projects, ensuring buildings meet safety and compliance standards.

The role requires proven Fire Stopper experience, CSCS certification, Level 2 NVQ in Passive Fire Protection, and a UK driving licence. A competitive package and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire Stopper.
• A sound knowledge of passive fire protection systems and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install fire stopping systems including batt & mastic, fire collars, wraps and sealants.
• Install and maintain fire doors; perform remedial works.
• Carry out compartmentation works in line with fire safety regulations.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Complete works to a high standard in line with FIRAS/BM TRADA guidelines.
• Accurately complete job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Work safely and respectfully in occupied properties.
• Operate on education-sector projects delivering passive fire protection to meet safety and compliance standards.

Job description

• Installation of fire stopping systems including batt & mastic, fire collars, wraps, and sealants

• Fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial works

• Carry out compartmentation works in line with fire safety regulations

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications

• Complete works to a high standard in line with FIRAS/BM TRADA guidelines

• Accurately complete job sheets and compliance documentation

• Work safely and respectfully in occupied properties

  We are currently looking for a skilled and time served Fire Stopper to join our team. You will be working on a range of projects, primarily within education, carrying out essential passive fire protection works to ensure buildings meet safety and compliance standards., Proven experience as a Fire Stopper

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Passive Fire Protection (Fire Stopping)

• Good knowledge of passive fire protection systems and standards

• Valid CSCS skilled worker

• Asbestos Awareness Certificate

• UK driving licence
