Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Stopper Operative to perform fire protection work across occupied and void social housing properties. The role offers temp-to-perm potential with a well-established contractor and immediate start.

Salary is £25.00 per hour (Own Vehicle) or £22.00 per hour (Company Van provided), with location across social housing properties and varied sites.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card is required.
• NVQ Qualification in Passive Fire Protection or related trade.
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate is required.
• Manual Handling Certificate is required.
• Willingness for DBS Check.
• Experience in fire stopping in residential/social housing.

Responsibilities

• Install fire stopping systems to regulations and specs.
• Seal fire stopping around penetrations, pipes, ducts, and cables.
• Complete remedial fire protection works.
• Work in occupied and void social housing properties.
• Ensure work quality and health & safety compliance.
• Complete job sheets and related paperwork.

Fire Stopper Operative

Location: Social Housing Properties (Various Locations)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Stopper Operative to carry out fire protection works across occupied and void social housing properties.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with the potential to move into a permanent position with a well-established contractor.

Essential Requirements

• CSCS Card
• Relevant NVQ Qualification in Passive Fire Protection or associated trade
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate
• Willingness to undergo a DBS Check
• Previous experience carrying out fire stopping works within residential or social housing environments
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred

Duties Will Include

• Installation of fire stopping systems in accordance with current regulations and specifications
• Fire sealing around service penetrations, pipes, ducts, and cables
• Completion of remedial fire protection works
• Working within occupied and void social housing properties
• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements
• Accurately completing job sheets and associated paperwork
