Job summary

Checkmate Fire Solutions Ltd is a leading UK provider of passive fire protection and compliance services. We are seeking a skilled Fire Stopper to join our team, working on projects mainly in education to ensure buildings meet safety and compliance standards.

The role covers installing fire stopping systems, fire doors, and compartmentation works, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance. A strong NVQ in Passive Fire Protection, CSCS card, and a UK driving license are required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fire Stopper.
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Passive Fire Protection (Fire Stopping).
CSCS skilled worker with valid certification.

Responsibilities

Installation of fire stopping systems including batt & mastic, fire collars, wraps, and sealants.
Fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial works.
Carry out compartmentation works in line with fire safety regulations.
Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Complete works to a high standard in line with FIRAS/BM TRADA guidelines.
Accurately complete job sheets and compliance documentation.
Work safely and respectfully in occupied properties.
