Job summary

Smile Digital is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our Worcestershire-based service team. You’ll service, maintain and repair fire alarm and electronic security systems across customer sites, solving faults and keeping documentation up to date.

The role offers a hands-on, customer-facing position with out-of-hours callouts, a company van, tools, pension and ongoing training in a supportive, established business.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working independently at customer sites and delivering high service levels.

Responsibilities

• Planned servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults across CCTV, intruder alarms and access control.
• Carrying out repairs and smaller installation works.
• Responding to reactive call-outs.
• Providing technical support and advice to customers.
• Completing accurate service reports and documentation.
• Ensuring systems meet relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborating with the service team to complete jobs efficiently.
• Participating in an out-of-hours rota.
