Smile Digital in Bristol and surrounding areas is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer for a mainly service and maintenance role. You will service and repair fire alarms and electronic security systems across residential and commercial sites, including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control, while handling fault diagnostics and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Around two to three years' experience in fire and security engineering, ideally within service and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• A good understanding of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
• The ability to work independently and manage their time effectively.
• A professional, approachable manner when dealing with customers.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Industry qualifications such as FIA or City & Guilds would be advantageous, as would knowledge of BS 5839, NSI, BAFE and IP-based security systems.
• An 18th Edition qualification would also be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities

We are working with an established and growing fire and security business that is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join its team, covering Bristol and the surrounding areas.

You will be joining a supportive team with organised scheduling, technical backup and the tools and equipment needed to deliver a great service.

What you will be doing
