Job summary

SER Limited in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Fire and Security Service Engineer to service and maintain a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial properties in the region.

You will ensure systems remain operational, reliable and compliant, with duties spanning CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarms and responsive service visits.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, Fire Alarms).
• Proven experience with these systems in a commercial environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel across Southend-on-Sea and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems across commercial properties.
• Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs to minimise disruption.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation.
• Building strong relationships with customers and site contacts.

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Standby Allowance + Travel Time

The Role

As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial properties throughout Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding region.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our clients’ systems remain fully operational, reliable and compliant.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms
• Providing high-quality service to commercial clients, ensuring their systems are safe, secure and compliant
• Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs to minimise disruption to clients’ operations
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits
• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation
• Building strong working relationships with customers and site contacts

Skills & Experience

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms
• Proven experience working with these systems within a commercial environment
• A Full UK Driving Licence
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Comfortable travelling across Southend-on-Sea, Essex and the surrounding areas
• Good customer service and communication skills
