Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a Fire and Security Service Engineer to service and maintain CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and fire alarms across Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding Essex area. You will ensure systems remain operational, compliant and reliable for commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms.
• Proven experience with these systems in a commercial environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel across Southend-on-Sea and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems across commercial properties.
• Provide high-quality service to ensure safety, security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and repair to minimise disruption.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Complete service reports and relevant system documentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers and site contacts.

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Fire & Security division and are looking for a skilled and motivated Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our team covering Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial properties throughout Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding region.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our clients’ systems remain fully operational, reliable and compliant.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms

• Providing high-quality service to commercial clients, ensuring their systems are safe, secure and compliant

• Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs to minimise disruption to clients’ operations

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits

• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation

• Building strong working relationships with customers and site contacts

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms

• Proven experience working with these systems within a commercial environment

• A Full UK Driving Licence

• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload

• Comfortable travelling across Southend-on-Sea, Essex and the surrounding areas

• Good customer service and communication skills
