Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a skilled Fire and Security Service Engineer to cover Chelmsford and surrounding areas. You will service and maintain CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm systems across commercial sites, ensuring reliability and compliance.

Applicants should have strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems and hold a Full UK Driving Licence. The role offers a competitive salary, company vehicle, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Able to travel across Chelmsford, Essex and surrounding areas.
• Proven experience in servicing commercial fire and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems across commercial properties.
• Ensure systems are safe, secure and compliant.
• Troubleshoot and repair to minimise disruption to operations.

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Fire & Security division and are looking for a skilled and motivated Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our team covering Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial properties throughout Chelmsford and the surrounding region.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our clients’ systems remain fully operational, reliable and compliant.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms
• Providing high-quality service to commercial clients, ensuring their systems are safe, secure and compliant
• Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs to minimise disruption to clients’ operations
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits
• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation
• Building strong working relationships with customers and site contacts

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms
• Proven experience working with these systems within a commercial environment
• A Full UK Driving Licence
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Comfortable travelling across Chelmsford, Essex and the surrounding areas
• Good customer service and communication skills
