Job summary

SER Limited in Oxfordshire is seeking a Fire and Security Service Engineer to service and maintain CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and fire alarms across commercial properties in the OX postcode area.

You will ensure systems stay operational, compliant and secure, with travel across the OX region and a 1 in 12 call-out rota.

The role offers a competitive salary between £35,000 and £45,000 plus overtime, standby allowance, travel time, and a company vehicle, phone and laptop.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and fire alarms.
• Experience servicing fire and security systems in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems across commercial properties in the OX postcode area.
• Troubleshooting and repairing to minimise disruption to clients’ operations.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation.
• Building strong working relationships with customers and site contacts.

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Fire & Security division and are looking for a skilled and motivated Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our team covering the OX postcode area and surrounding locations.

The Role

As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial properties throughout the OX postcode area.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our clients’ systems remain fully operational, reliable and compliant.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms
• Providing high-quality service to commercial clients, ensuring their systems are safe, secure and compliant
• Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs to minimise disruption to clients’ operations
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits
• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation
• Building strong working relationships with customers and site contacts

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms
• Proven experience working with these systems within a commercial environment
• A Full UK Driving Licence
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Comfortable travelling across the OX postcode area and surrounding locations
• Good customer service and communication skills
