Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a Fire and Security Service Engineer to service and maintain fire and security systems across commercial properties in the NG postcode area and surrounding East Midlands region.

You will be responsible for CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and fire alarms, ensuring systems remain operational, compliant and safe for clients. The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence and independent work capability.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms.
• Proven experience with these systems in a commercial environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Willingness to travel across the NG postcode area and surrounding East Midlands region.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms).
• Provide high-quality service to commercial clients, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and repair to minimise disruption.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Complete service reports and system documentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers and site contacts.

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Fire & Security division and are looking for a skilled and motivated Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our team covering the NG postcode area and surrounding region.

The Role

As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial properties throughout the NG postcode area.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our clients’ systems remain fully operational, reliable and compliant.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms

• Providing high-quality service to commercial clients, ensuring their systems are safe, secure and compliant

• Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs to minimise disruption to clients’ operations

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits

• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation

• Building strong working relationships with customers and site contacts

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms

• Proven experience working with these systems within a commercial environment

• A Full UK Driving Licence
