Leicester City Council is recruiting an Assistant Neighbourhood Housing Officer to support the Neighbourhood Housing Team with property, communal and estate inspections, including fire safety work.

This busy role involves visiting homes and estates, recording findings and assisting in achieving fire safety compliance under government legislation. The post is full-time, 37 hours per week, on a fixed-term 12-month contract with hybrid working at St Marks office.

Qualifications

• Experience writing reports and accurate notes.
• Good customer care skills and ability to interview customers.
• Strong literacy and numeracy to perform job tasks.
• Organisational and prioritisation skills to manage workload.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the delivery of local tenancy and estate management service to tenants, leaseholders, and residents.
• Maintain housing stock by ensuring fire safety compliance and carrying out inspections.
• Record and report on fire safety matters and assist the Building Responsible Officer.
• Visit homes and estates across the city, respond to service requests, and update records.
