Broxtowe Borough Council is seeking a Compliance Officer for the Housing team to keep Independent Living schemes and General Needs properties safe and compliant. You will conduct inspections, tests and certificate checks while engaging with tenants and colleagues across our stock.

The role focuses on practical compliance work, reporting defects, and supporting performance monitoring in a busy housing environment with a strong emphasis on safety, equality and excellent service.

Formación

• Experience working with customers and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of social housing and housing compliance.
• Experience checking service certificates.
• Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to customer service and equality and diversity.
• Experience with fire safety equipment testing is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Fire safety checks and testing, including fire panels, doors, extinguishers and emergency lights.
• Health and safety inspections across housing schemes.
• Asbestos and Legionella-related checks.
• Checking service certificates and maintaining compliance records.
• Identifying and reporting defects and monitoring remedial works.
• Providing practical advice and support to tenants and colleagues.
• Escalating urgent health and safety concerns and providing performance information.
