Job summary

Arup's Fire Safety team in the UK is seeking Fire Engineers to join a growing portfolio of high-impact projects and help deliver fire safety engineering services for diverse clients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across 20 offices, contributing to cutting-edge research and solutions.

We offer a hybrid work model, strong learning opportunities, and a path toward Chartered Engineer status, with support to achieve it.

Qualifications

• Qualification in a relevant subject (fire engineering, other types of engineering, or architecture related).
• Experience in a fire engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Knowledge of applicable UK legislation and guidance.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive in resolving issues and delivering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement fire science on real projects via the engineering process (goals, objectives, building appraisal and hazards, design fire scenarios).
• Develop and implement fire strategies in collaboration with the design team and stakeholders; support towards Chartered Engineer status.
