Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer for a local Huddersfield role. The position offers a stable, family-run environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and ongoing training across multiple security disciplines.

You'll install, service and maintain Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm systems, plus CCTV and Access Control, across West Yorkshire with a low on-call burden and a company vehicle and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm systems.
• CCTV and Access Control experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Professional, customer-focused workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to work across West Yorkshire with local travel.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing and maintaining Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Commissioning and fault finding across Fire & Security systems.
• Installing and maintaining CCTV, Access Control and Security Lighting (training provided where required).
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Providing excellent customer service across commercial and residential sites.
• Participating in a shared on-call rota with very low call-out volumes.
• Working safely and maintaining company tools and vehicles to a high standard.
