Job summary

The FR Group is seeking a Freelance Finishing Manager to support the final stages of a construction project. This hands-on role focuses on delivering high-quality finishes and a smooth handover to the client.

You will oversee finishing trades, coordinate subcontractors, perform snagging inspections, and ensure safety on site. Immediate start available on a fast-paced, high-quality project with potential for extension and a competitive day rate. A CSCS card is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion
• Carry out detailed snagging inspections and resolve defects promptly
• Maintain high standards of quality control across finishing works
• Work with Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines
• Ensure health & safety regulations on site

• Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines
• Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site
• Assist with final handover and client inspections
  Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on construction projects
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Valid CSCS card (essential)
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
