Job summary

The FR Group is seeking a Freelance Finishing Manager to oversee the final finishes of a high-profile construction project. This hands-on role focuses on delivering quality finishes and a smooth handover to the client, coordinating painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry and snagging.

You will manage subcontractors, ensure health & safety on site, and work with the Site Manager to meet deadlines. Immediate start available on a fast-paced project with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Finishing Manager on construction projects.
• CSCS card required.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification preferred.
• Experience coordinating finishing trades (painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, snagging).
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Immediate start available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry and snagging.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
• Carry out detailed snagging inspections and resolve defects promptly.
• Maintain high standards of quality control across finishing works.
• Collaborate with Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines.
• Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site.
• Assist with final handover and client inspections.
