Job summary

Citizens Advice 1066 is seeking a compassionate Financial Wellbeing Adviser to work with Seaview Project, supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will deliver practical advice to improve financial wellbeing and maximise income.

In partnership with Seaview staff and housing providers, you will carry out holistic assessments, develop support plans, and advocate for clients to access specialist services.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welfare benefits, debt and financial inclusion.
• Experience supporting vulnerable adults through advice or casework.
• Understanding homelessness, poverty and social exclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and casework on welfare benefits, debt, budgeting and financial capability.
• Support clients to maximise income through benefits, grants and other financial assistance.
• Help people manage rent, household bills and debts to maintain stable housing.
• Carry out holistic assessments and develop support plans.
• Work collaboratively with Seaview, housing providers and other local services.
• Advocate on behalf of clients and help them access specialist support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality service delivery.
