Looking for a role as Financial Controller in a High-Growth, Private Equity-Backed Tech Business

If you're a qualified accountant on the upward trajectory looking to step into a broad, commercially focused Financial Controller role, this is the opportunity to take ownership, build infrastructure, and be part of a high-growth, AI-led business changing the way the world of retail.

You’ll only need to be in the office one to two days a week.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading monthly reporting, board packs, statutory accounts, and all core finance operations
• Working closely with Private Equity investors, with exposure to M&A and strategic value drivers
• Owning the ERP system and finance tech stack, driving automation and process improvements
• Overseeing cashflow, treasury, and debt management
• Partnering across Sales, HR, and Ops to influence decisions with better data
• Managing audits, risk, and compliance in a fast-paced, tech environment
• Leading and mentoring a small but growing finance team

What we’re looking for:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, ideally with a prior career in audit with around 5+ years post-qualification experience
• Strong grounding in technical accounting (UK GAAP, IFRS)
• Experience in SaaS, technology, or PE-backed environments preferred
• Passion for systems and process improvement (NetSuite or similar is a plus)
• Confident communicator who can collaborate, influence, and lead
• Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset — excited by change and ownership
