An established industry player is seeking a Regional Financial Controller to join their Yorkshire East region. This role is pivotal in ensuring strong financial control and providing critical financial management information to support decision-making. Main purpose of the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Financial Controller to join us at our Yorkshire East region, based from our Head office near Doncaster. This is our largest and most successful region who have a robust and secure plan for future developments.
The successful candidate will contribute to strong financial control within the region including providing financial management information to support decision making. Key accountabilities will include working with the Regional Financial Director to develop a best-in-class regional finance team, developing a robust, risk balanced and achievable business plan with the regional board.
They will prepare a robust and deliverable monthly profit and cash forecast, driving a culture of maximising site profitability within the region, providing challenge on sales prices and costs. Developing best practice procedures and reporting and ensuring adherence to accounting policy and procedures are also key elements of this position.
The Regional Financial Controller will also support the central finance team and treasury with all ad hoc requests, collating reporting information as and when required and producing and maintaining other finance specific reports where required.
They will also manage and develop a Management Accountant.

We are looking for an experienced qualified Accountant who embodies our Keepmoat values; a straightforward communicator at all levels, who can translate financial information to a variety of different stakeholders. They will be creative with excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
They will be passionate about presenting accurate and timely financial information to enable the business to achieve its targets.
They will be collaborative with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment across functions, particularly with senior management.
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering timely, accurate and concise reporting, cost control, budgeting and management reporting.
They will have advanced Excel skills with excellent IT skills in general. They will be accurate with strong attention to detail, with the ability prioritise their own workload in order to meet deadlines. Experience in a similar role within Housebuilding or construction, along with experience managing a small team, are desirable but not essential.
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
