We are seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to join our Global client based in Mid Kent. This role will manage financial operations and support strategic decision-making.

Client Details

We are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a global Manufacturing business based in Mid Kent, on a full-time and permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, experience in business strategy, commercial thinking, and project leadership.

As Financial Controller, you will drive financial control, enhance reporting processes, and streamline operations to support the company's growth. This role requires an onsite presence.

Description

• Support the FD with financial, commercial, and legal input into projects, improvements, and regulatory changes.
• Lead annual external audits and prepare Statutory Accounts packs.
• Participate in internal audit reviews and maintain internal controls within the team and wider business.
• Assist the FD with budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure leases comply with IFRS 16.
• Review and publish finance policies and rates.
• Prepare and submit Quarterly UK VAT returns and Irish VAT returns.
• Review corporation tax computations and liaise with the Group tax department and external consultants.
• Assist with PAYE Settlement Agreement reviews and approvals.
• Review accruals, prepayments, and overhead costs monthly against budgets.
• Prepare and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly, addressing discrepancies promptly.
• Reconcile lease costs versus actual costs monthly and prepare journals as needed.
• Review weekly Cash Flow Forecasts with the FA before submission to Group Treasury.
• Collaborate in producing accurate monthly reports and submit divisional and group reports.

Profile

The successful Financial Controller will have/be:

• Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
• Broad finance experience, including AP, AR, and Financial Accounting.
• Experience at group level is advantageous.
• Ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines with strong organizational skills and flexibility.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP and SAP Financial Consolidation is a plus.

Job Offer

• Salary range: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE.
