Job summary

Treatwell is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Group Finance team in London. The role focuses on IFRS reporting, statutory accounts, and group-wide accounting policy development within an international, fast-growing company.

The candidate will support year-end audits, tax returns, VAT, and investor reporting, while maintaining balance sheet accuracy and timely filing across the group. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CA and experience in either industry or Top 20 practice are desired; strong

• High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with group consolidated statutory financial statements under IFRS, including disclosure notes.
• Assisting with year end audit processes and preparing supporting documentation.
• Assisting with statutory accounts under local GAAP, including trial balances and statutory adjustments.
• Assisting with group tax returns and filing deadlines.
• Assisting with VAT returns and investor reporting.
• Assisting with month end processes and balance sheet reconciliations across the group.
• Developing and maintaining IFRS accounting/reporting policies group-wide.
• Collaborating with the wider finance team on non-business-as-usual projects.
• Performing additional ad-hoc activities as required.

Job description

Treatwell is looking for a Financial Accountant to work within the Group Finance team to support their daily activities. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and excellent analytical skills. You will have the opportunity to work in an international department and support the financial activities inside an international and fast- growing company. Requirements

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the completion of group consolidated statutory financial statements under IFRS, including all disclosure notes.
• Assisting with the year end audit process, which involves liaising directly with the audit engagement team and preparing supporting documentation.
• Assisting with the completion of statutory accounts of the wider group, under local GAAP which involves preparation of trial balances, calculating statutory adjustments, liaising with our advisors in each Country and ensuring all filing deadlines are met.
• Assisting with the completion of tax returns for the group, ensuring all filing deadlines are met.
• Assisting with other areas of compliance and reporting, including VAT returns and investor reporting.
• Assisting with the month end process ensuring accurate accounting records are maintained by completion of balance sheet reconciliations across the group.
• Development and maintenance of IFRS financial accounting/reporting policies group-wide including assistance to roll out changes to policies, processes and systems.
• Working collaboratively with the wider finance team on non-business as usual project work
• Additional ad-hoc activities as required

About you:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent)
• Industry experience or Top 20 practice background
• Excellent technical knowledge of IFRS
• Extensive experience of preparing or auditing financial statements under IFRS
• Bright, ambitious and conscientious with good attention to detail and high standards
• Highly motivated, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to solve problems logically and set out workpapers in a clear and concise manner
• Collaborative approach to working and an ability to build strong relationships with senior commercial, financial and legal partners
