Job summary

Wakefield Council is seeking a proactive Finance Systems Specialist to support the Finance Systems Manager in improving and maintaining the Council's Core Finance Systems. You will oversee new features, configuration changes, testing, report development and upgrades to ensure business continuity and minimal service disruption.

The role requires knowledge of finance, project management and IT skills, with existing experience of Finance Systems essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of Finance, Project management and IT skills.
• Existing knowledge of Finance Systems is essential.
• Experience with system integrations and upgrades is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support system integrations, planning and managing changes for Financial Systems requiring up to 24/7 availability.
• Implement innovative working practices to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain new solutions and current systems to ensure funds and resources are managed effectively.
