Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Finance Manager – Reporting to lead the Financial Control team in Manchester. You will drive month-end/quarterly reporting, manage balance sheets and cashflow, and coordinate audits and statutory accounts for 135 entities.

You will coach five Financial Accountants and partner with Tax on complex tax matters. The role demands strong IFRS knowledge, stakeholder communication, and the ability to translate financial data into clear narratives for executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts.
• Proven leadership and ability to coach and develop teams.
• Strong presentation of financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear narratives for decision-making.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading teams through change is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support consolidated Group reporting and financial controls.
• Lead monthly and quarterly reporting including balance sheet and cashflow, IFRS and Solvency II submissions.
• Ensure robust reconciliations and reporting processes in line with standards and statutory requirements.
• Partner with Management Accounts to deliver timely month-end reporting.
• Provide financial support for planning and forecasting, including IFRS 16 and depreciation.
• Build relationships across Finance, Commercial and Operations as a trusted partner.
• Support business cases and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of five Financial Accountants and drive high performance.
