Job summary

Bupa in London is recruiting a Finance Controls & Governance Manager – Financial Reporting Frameworks to strengthen our financial reporting controls. Based at Angel Court with hybrid working (2 days in the office), you will lead improvements to the framework and collaborate with finance, risk, audit and market unit teams.

You’ll hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and have experience in financial reporting, controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in financial reporting, controls, governance.
• Understanding of control frameworks, risk management and reporting processes.
• Experience reviewing, improving or implementing financial controls.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, curious approach with willingness to support projects and change.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with finance transformation or large corporate environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve financial reporting control frameworks across Group Finance.
• Support finance teams with risk, control and process documentation (risk registers, process maps, control records).
• Ensure governance, risk and control information is accurate within reporting systems.
• Support compliance with enterprise financial control policies and roll out new requirements.
• Maintain and update financial reporting and Solvency II policies and guidance.
• Monitor and report on key controls and risk indicators across Finance teams.
• Support the annual Internal Control and Risk Management Assessment process.
• Carry out independent testing of material financial reporting controls for Board reporting.
