Venatu Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Finance Officer to join a small, busy team at their Doncaster site. The role covers all aspects of the finance function with responsibilities for reporting, project valuations and administration.

You will need strong organisational skills, high attention to detail and prior experience in a finance environment. The position offers a four-day week with potential to move to five days, and a pro rata salary around £30,000–£35,000.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a finance or accounts-based role.
• Knowledge of accounting software, ideally Xero.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• An accountancy qualification, such as AAT, or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, would be desirable.
• Previous experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.

Aufgaben

• Input invoices onto Sage Line 50.
• Create, scan and log invoices.
• Prepare cash flow spreadsheets using Excel.
• Complete monthly CIS and VAT returns.
• Carry out bank reconciliations.
• Manage weekly contractor payment runs.
• Process staff expense claims.
• Provide support with credit control.
• Prepare schedules, statements and reports as required.
• Record staff holidays and keep records up to date.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Prepare monthly project valuations.
• Monitor business overheads.
• Assist in monthly management accounts preparation.
• Complete VAT returns.
• Prepare and submit CITB levy.
