Job summary

White Horse Employment are delighted to be working with a well-established consumer brand to recruit a Finance Manager. This role takes ownership of stock, margin and inventory accounting within a growing finance team, with hands-on analysis, month-end reporting, standard costing and variance analysis to drive commercial insight across the business.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA or CIMA
• Experience in stock, inventory or margin accounting
• Background in manufacturing, retail or complex inventory environment
• Strong standard costing and variance analysis experience
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Commercially minded with attention to detail
• Confident communicator who can explain technical finance clearly
• Inquisitive, proactive and focused on continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Oversee stock, margin and inventory accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis
• Investigate financial movements and provide commentary and insight
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and accounting processes
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
• Business partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
• Support cash flow, balance sheet management and year-end processes
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting through automation and technology
• Support wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
