Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a global business to recruit a Finance Manager - Group Stock & Margin. You will lead the transformation and improvement of stock and margin accounting, mentoring one direct report and ensuring robust financial control of global stock and gross margin.

The role requires Qualified Accountant status with experience in Retail or Manufacturing, strong costing knowledge, and a track record of delivering improvements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial control and accurate valuation of global stock.
• Financial control of margin movements, including materials price and usage variances, labour variances, overhead absorption and stock revaluation.
• Responsible for the control and reporting of global gross margin, including profit in stock.
• Support the development of the Group inventory policy.
• Deliver monthly reporting explaining gross margin relative to budget, forecast and prior year.
• Work with other Finance team members to set budgets and forecasts.
• Drive continuous improvement in how stakeholders control the movement of high value stock.

The Role

This is a key role in a high performing team, requiring you to lead the transformation and improvement of stock and margin accounting.

Key responsibilities will include:

The Person

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience of working in Retail or Manufacturing.

Stock and Margin accounting experience, and solid costings knowledge are key requirements for the role, and you will need a demonstrable track record of delivering improvements and of working collaboratively with key stakeholders.

Hybrid working is on offer, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days p/w
