Job summary

White Horse Employment is partnering with a well-established consumer brand to recruit a Finance Manager who will take ownership of stock, inventory and margin accounting. You will lead month-end reporting, standard costing and variance analysis, using the numbers to drive commercial insight and challenge stakeholders.

The role offers hybrid working, with collaboration across Finance, Planning, Production and Operations.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification is required.
• Strong stock, inventory or margin accounting experience.
• Background in manufacturing, retail or complex inventory environments.
• Strong standard costing and variance analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Commercial mindset with attention to detail.
• Confident communicator who can explain technical finance clearly.
• Inquisitive, proactive and focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stock, margin and inventory accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis
• Investigate financial movements and provide clear commentary and insight
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and accounting processes
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
• Business partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
• Support cash flow, balance sheet management and year-end processes
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting through automation and technology
• Support wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

White Horse Employment are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded consumer brand to recruit a Finance Manager into their growing Finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a key area of Finance, with a strong focus on hands‑on financial analysis, stock, inventory and margin accounting. You’ll be involved in the detail of month‑end reporting, standard costing and variance analysis, using the numbers to understand business performance, explain movements and provide clear commercial insight to stakeholders across the business.
