Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a small team and partner with operations to drive growth in our Transport unit.

You will oversee governance, month-end close, reporting and audits while delivering fast-track training and mentoring to accelerate career progression. The role involves 37.5 hours weekly, with a phased onboarding in Nottingham and Immingham, and a flexible work-from-home component.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or part-qualified with strong finance foundation.
• Solid experience in P&L, balance sheet and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with financial controls, compliance and audits, with SOX exposure a plus.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills for large datasets and trends.
• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate financial information to finance and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial performance reporting and analysis, providing trading commentary, KPI updates and recommendations to operations leaders while driving budget accountability.
• Partner with operational teams to support growth, customer onboarding, new business opportunities, commercial decision-making and stakeholder management.
• Own financial governance and controls, ensuring SOX compliance through balance sheet reconciliations, P&L oversight, month-end activities, audit support and accurate reporting.
• Manage and develop the onsite finance team, setting objectives, reviewing performance, coaching and fostering continuous improvement.
• Drive operational and personal development, supporting Nottingham and Immingham finance activities during onboarding, including customer reporting and invoicing.
