Job summary

Chase and Holland partners with a growing SME in Rotherham to recruit a Finance Manager. You will own the day-to-day finance function, working closely with the Managing Director to help the business make informed decisions.

You will lead bookkeeping, monthly accounts, cash-flow forecasting and reporting, while supervising an accounts administrator and ensuring data accuracy across financial systems.

Qualifications

• Organised and analytical finance professional with commercial awareness.
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial processes.
• Excellent Excel skills and IT literacy.
• Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy SME environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and journals.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Produce detailed P&L analysis and highlight trends.
• Prepare cash-flow forecasts.
• Support month-end processes and reporting.
• Provide financial information to the Management Team.
• Maintain and integrate financial data across internal systems.
• Process invoices and maintain records.
• Manage an accounts administrator.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Monitor payments, receipts and bank deposits.
• Oversee credit control and debt collection.
