Job summary

The Crown Prosecution Service is recruiting a Finance Manager for the Digital Information Directorate in England and Wales. You will provide assurance on financial management, maintain salary recording systems, and prepare timely financial reports for senior management.

Key requirements include extensive forecasting, budgeting, data analysis, and advanced Excel skills, with experience in presenting monthly financial reports and advice to PMs on forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a finance role.
• Supervisory experience of staff.
• Forecasting, financial management reports, data analysis.
• Experience in budgeting and providing financial information for business cases.
• Significant experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding and practical experience in compiling budgets.
• Providing financial expertise to PMs on forecasts and budgets.
• Experience in preparation and presentation of monthly financial management reports including analysis, interpretation and recommendations.
• Applied knowledge of accruals accounting and invoice management.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance that financial management complies with departmental and civil service standards.
• Maintain systems and processes to enable accurate recording and future profiling of salary.
• Prepare timely, accurate and complete financial reports and flag significant compliance issues for action by senior managers.
