Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager for a Poole-based role offering a high degree of autonomy and a path to influence how the finance function operates. The post involves transitioning from Sage 200 to Dynamics 365 Business Central and delivering timely management accounts and KPI analysis.

You will own day-to-day finance tasks, manage VAT and balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborate with department managers to provide precise financial information.

Qualifications

• Solid management accounting experience with a strong understanding of day to day finance processes.
• Experience preparing management accounts, with strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• AAT Level 4 or another recognised accounting qualification.
• Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments is desirable.
• Sage and/or Business Central experience, and exposure to system implementation or process improvement, would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the day to day finance function, including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting.
• Support the transition from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Prepare monthly management accounts, KPIs and margin and profitability analysis
• Manage VAT returns, payroll liaison and balance sheet reconciliations
• Help define reporting requirements, controls and processes, becoming the internal finance systems expert
• Support departmental managers with clear, accurate financial information
