Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager in Poole, offering autonomy to shape the finance function. You will own day-to-day finance activities and drive improvements, with direct access to the Managing Director and senior leadership in a fast-paced SME.

The role involves transitioning from Sage 200 to Dynamics 365 Business Central, preparing monthly management accounts and KPIs, managing VAT and payroll liaison, and delivering clear financial information to department heads.

Qualifications

• Solid management accounting experience with day-to-day finance process understanding.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts and KPI/margin analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance function including purchase/sales ledger, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting.
• Support transition from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, KPIs and margin/profitability analysis.
• Manage VAT returns, payroll liaison, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Define reporting requirements, controls and processes; act as internal finance systems expert.
• Support departmental managers with clear, accurate financial information.
