Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Group in Poole is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function, including purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting, with the opportunity to shape finance processes.

The role will drive the transition from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and involve preparing monthly management accounts, KPIs and margin analyses. AAT4 or equivalent is desirable; experience in manufacturing/engineering is a plus.

• Solid management accounting experience with day-to-day finance processes.
• Experience preparing management accounts and KPI/margin analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• AAT Level 4 or equivalent accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Own the day‑to‑day finance function: purchase/sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting.
• Support transition from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, KPIs and profitability analysis.
• Manage VAT returns, payroll liaison and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Define reporting requirements, controls and processes; be the internal finance systems expert.
• Support department managers with clear, accurate financial information.

As a Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Own the day to day finance function, including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting

• Support departmental managers with clear, accurate financial information

As a Finance Manager, your experience will include:

• Solid management accounting experience with a strong understanding of day to day finance processes


• Experience preparing management accounts, with strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail


• AAT Level 4 or another recognised accounting qualification


• Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments is desirable


• Sage and/or Business Central experience, and exposure to system implementation or process improvement, would be an advantage


• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
