Smart10 Ltd, trading as SMT Recruitment, is seeking a Finance Manager in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. This hands-on role combines day-to-day accounting with shaping and leading the finance function, reporting to the COO and partnering with the leadership team.

You will own month-end close, reporting, controls, and process improvements, becoming the finance lead for Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC and guiding growth. The role offers study support, competitive salary £55,000–£62,000, and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• ACCA or CIMA finalist or recently qualified.
• Strong month end and management accounts experience.
• Excellent knowledge of transactional finance.
• Experience improving finance processes or implementing new ways of working.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to explain financial information to non finance stakeholders.
• Proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy.
• Oversee month-end close and management accounts.
• Improve finance processes and reporting to the leadership team.
• Coordinate with external accountants for VAT and audits.
• Provide meaningful financial insight to support commercial decisions.
