Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency in Poole is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function, offering autonomy and the chance to shape financial processes. The role reports to senior leadership and involves ownership of ledger operations, cash flow forecasting, and KPI reporting.

You will drive the transition from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, prepare monthly management accounts, and support margin analysis.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in management accounting.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts and KPIs.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments desirable.
• Sage and/or Business Central exposure and process improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance function including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting.
• Support the transition from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, KPIs and margin and profitability analysis.
• Manage VAT returns, payroll liaison and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Help define reporting requirements, controls and processes, becoming the internal finance systems expert.
• Support departmental managers with clear, accurate financial information.

• Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments is desirable
• Sage and/or Business Central experience, and exposure to system implementation or process improvement, would be an advantage
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
