Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment in Poole seeks a Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function within a fast-growing SME. You will own cash flow forecasting, reconciliations and monthly management accounts, while steering the project to move from Sage 200 to Dynamics 365 BC.

You will report to the Managing Director, enjoy direct access to senior leadership, and benefit from a high-autonomy environment with a strong emphasis on accountability and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Solid management accounting experience with strong understanding of day-to-day finance processes.
• Experience preparing management accounts with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• AAT Level 4 or another recognised accounting qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments desirable.
• Sage and/or Business Central experience, and exposure to system implementation or process improvement, would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day finance function, including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
• Support the transition from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Prepare monthly management accounts, KPIs and margin and profitability analysis
• Manage VAT returns, payroll liaison and balance sheet reconciliations
• Help define reporting requirements, controls and processes, becoming the internal finance systems expert
• Support departmental managers with clear, accurate financial information
