Job summary

Lowell Group is seeking a Finance Manager for a 16-month fixed-term contract in Leeds with hybrid working. You will own key accounting and financial control activities, lead month-end and year-end reporting, and ensure accuracy of the balance sheet and financial information.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a financial control, management accounting or financial reporting environment.
• Strong understanding of month-end, year-end and balance sheet accounting processes.
• Track record of building trusted relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience coaching or developing less experienced colleagues.
• Continuous improvement mindset with ability to challenge processes and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key accounting and financial control activities, including month-end and year-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring integrity of financial information.
• Collaborate with Finance and wider business colleagues, providing insight, support and challenge where needed.
• Share knowledge and experience to develop and mentor colleagues earlier in their careers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automate where possible, and contribute to an insight-led Finance function.
