Search in Leeds is looking for a dynamic Senior Finance Manager to lead a 20-strong finance team, overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, cash books, and the preparation of monthly management accounts. You’ll delegate workloads, coach staff to meet deadlines, liaise with auditors and tax advisors, and drive process improvements.

You’ll be supported by a hybrid working pattern after probation, with a season ticket loan, on-site parking and private medical insurance, plus a discretionary bonus up

Qualifications

• At least one year post-qualified experience (essential).
• Proven experience delegating tasks and managing staff workloads.
• Experience working in a professional finance environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset with a drive for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Delegate and oversee staff responsibilities across the finance team, ensuring workloads are distributed effectively.
• Manage task allocation and prioritisation, coaching junior team members to deliver against deadlines.
• Oversee purchase/sales ledgers, cash books, loan schedules and ensure accurate reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts, including budget variance analysis.
• Lead VAT & CIS return submissions.
