Job summary

Sharpsmart Finance is expanding and offers a Finance Manager role in a hybrid setup, splitting time between our Spennymoor office and your home office, reporting to the Finance Controller.

This position oversees end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, and ongoing improvement projects to enhance processes and performance.

Qualifications

• ACA or degree in finance with minimum 3 years practical work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Packages including Excel and other finance systems
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the billing, income and revenue department.
• Liaise with stakeholders externally and internally.
• Provide reporting and analytical overviews to senior management on department and customer performance.
• Support and develop policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve income, billing and revenue strategies.
• Review and analyse data to identify trends and improvements.
• Provide leadership to a team of professionals.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other group international Finance managers on best practice.
• Participate in ongoing UK finance strategic planning.

Sharpsmart Finance team is expanding and has an opportunity for a Finance Manger to join the team in a hybrid role splitting time between our Spennymoor office and your home office and reporting directly to the Finance Controller.

This is an exciting new position for the Finance team and will focus on overseeing end to end finance operations, financial planning and analysis and looking to make continuous improvements and ad hoc finance based projects.
