Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is partnering with a high growth technology business in Rotherham to recruit a Senior Finance Manager. The role focuses on robust financial control, timely monthly management accounts and insightful commercial analysis to drive strategic decisions and growth.

You will partner with the Finance Director and senior leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting and reporting, lead a finance team, and support commercial opportunities and new contracts while ensuring strong balance

Qualifications

• You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience operating within a senior finance or finance management position.
• You will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset and the ability to build effective relationships across a business.
• Experience within IT, technology, software or professional services sectors would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Managing the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process.
• Providing meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight to senior stakeholders.
• Partnering with operational and commercial teams to support business performance and profitability.
• Overseeing cash flow, working capital and key financial controls.
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Supporting the evaluation of new commercial opportunities, contracts and investment decisions.
• Managing the year-end process and relationships with external auditors and advisors.
• Leading, mentoring and developing members of the finance team.
• Supporting the Finance Director with strategic projects and wider business initiatives.

Our client is a well-established and ambitious organisation operating within the IT and technology sector. With an impressive track record, continued investment and exciting plans for future growth, the business is now looking to appoint a commercially focused finance professional to play a key role within its senior finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and technically strong finance professional to take on a broad and influential role within a fast paced, evolving environment.

Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering robust financial control while providing meaningful commercial insight to support strategic decision making and continued business growth.

The Role

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience operating within a senior finance or finance management position.

You will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset and the ability to build effective relationships across a business. Comfortable operating in a fast paced environment, you will be confident in challenging the status quo and using financial information to support better decision making.

Experience within the IT, technology, software or professional services sectors would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Salary: Up to £75,000, dependent on experience, plus an attractive benefits package.
