Job summary

Liberty Gas Group is seeking a qualified Finance Manager to lead the finance team and provide financial leadership across the organisation. The role combines management accounting, financial reporting and business partnering to support commercial decision-making.

Hybrid working is available, with core on-site presence at Charley Wood Road. You will prepare monthly management accounts, oversee P&L and balance sheets, manage external audits, and drive improvements as part of a growing business.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience in both management and financial accounting.
• Experience managing P&L and balance sheets.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and management of monthly management accounts, profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will be a trusted finance business partner to operational teams across the business, ensuring that financial information is accurate, timely, and supports commercial objectives.

About You

We are looking for a qualified accountant who is confident working independently and can manage competing priorities effectively.

Essential Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience in both Management Accounting and Financial Accounting.
• Experience managing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.
• Experience supporting and managing external audits.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work proactively without close supervision.

Desirable Experience

• Previous people management experience.
• Experience working within a fast-paced, profit-driven commercial environment.
• Experience with COINS or similar ERP systems.
• Strong business partnering experience with non-finance stakeholders.
