The Role
Commercially focused Finance Manager supporting the delivery of international regular season games for a major global sports league.
Acts as the key finance business partner to Events, Operations, and Ticketing teams involved in staging games abroad.
Reports into the Senior Manager, based in London.
Experience & Attributes
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2+ years post-qualification experience; Big 4 background preferred.
Proven experience within international and multi-currency environments.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking expertise.
Clear and confident communicator—comfortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders across multiple functions.
Solutions-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Highly analytical, well-organised, and detail-driven.
Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of profit and loss accounts for international games across Europe.
Lead management accounting processes, including business planning, long-range forecasts, and quarterly updates—presented to senior leadership.
Finance business partner to cross-functional teams delivering international events.
Review and sign off on key commercial contracts, assessing P&L implications.
Support financial modelling and strategic reviews for potential new market expansion.
Oversee settlements with clubs, stadiums, ticket agents, hotels, and partners.
Assist with invoice and purchase order review processes.
Contribute to quarterly close activities: P&L variance analysis and balance sheet reviews.
Collaborate closely with internal functions including Group Finance, Club Finance, Tax, Internal Audit, and Legal.
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, policies, and risk management procedures.
