Senior Finance Manager

Role Scope:

• Full time hours - 37.5 per week
• A fixed-term agreement for 6 months
• Remote working opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Finance Manager to lead the end-to-end process for the preparation of consolidated provider accounts, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across the organisation.

You will play a crucial role in implementing a strong control framework, challenging data submissions, identifying and reducing risks, and ensuring that local errors do not escalate into national issues.

Additionally, you will provide expert, responsive advice to providers, directly influencing the quality and robustness of provider reporting across the NHS.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the process for preparing consolidated NHS provider accounts, ensuring all deadlines are met to a high standard.
• Design, implement and oversee a robust control framework to ensure data quality, compliance, and consistency across all provider submissions.
• Review and challenge Trust submissions, proactively identifying errors, anomalies, and areas of risk before they impact consolidated reporting.
• Prepare high quality reports, briefing papers, and presentations for senior finance leadership and external stakeholders.

• Competitive Pay (AFC Band 8b) £62,215- £72,293 per annum pro-rata, dependant on your experience and the number of years you have worked in the NHS.

Experience and qualifications required include:

• Full professional accountancy qualification (CCAB, CIMA) with substantial post–qualification experience.
• Deep understanding of NHS provider accounting and financial reporting frameworks, with prior experience leading consolidated accounts processes.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.
• Have a pro-active solution focused approach, with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
