Overview
As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of all aspects of financial management within this established professional services firm. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with other senior leaders to provide clear financial guidance that underpins strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting operations run smoothly—from managing payrolls to overseeing credit control.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, review, and approval of budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive financial reports to ensure timely and accurate information is available for key stakeholders.
- Oversee all core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll administration, credit control processes, and general ledger management to maintain operational excellence.
- Ensure full adherence to all relevant financial regulations such as the Solicitors\' Accounts Rules by acting as the primary liaison with auditors and regulatory bodies during audits or reviews.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and recommendations that support informed business decisions while developing long-term financial plans and models aligned with organisational goals.
- Maintain healthy cash flow through precise forecasting techniques and effective liquidity management strategies that safeguard the company\'s financial stability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team by promoting a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and high performance throughout the department.
- Identify potential financial risks within the business environment and implement robust mitigation strategies to protect assets and ensure ongoing financial health.
