Job summary

Ocho in Belfast is seeking a senior finance professional to lead a small finance team, deliver high-quality financial reporting, and strengthen financial controls across the business. You will drive strategic decision-making, optimise cash flow and reporting processes, and support the Finance Director in the company’s growth journey as a PE-backed manufacturing specialist.

This role offers broad exposure across reporting, tax, audit and BI systems, with opportunity for rapid career progression

Qualifications

• Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong IT and Excel skills
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience of major accounting and BI systems
• Experience of manufacturing businesses and product costing
• Experience of major systems implementation projects

Responsibilities

• Oversee the transactional functions for the business and its associated companies
• Ensure efficient working capital and cash management
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in line with month-end process and reporting deadlines
• Maintain an effective credit control function
• Optimise the efficiency and functionality of a newly implemented accounting system
• Support the development of reporting and insights from finance and BI systems
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax-related returns and payments
• Prepare audit files for external auditors and liaise with auditors for the annual audit
• Maintain a framework and culture of financial control

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will manage a small Finance Team and be responsible for ensuring high quality financial reporting, maintaining effective financial control, and streamlining financial processes. The successful individual will assist the Finance Director in driving strategic decision making, optimising financial performance, and ensuring control across the business.
